Last weekend, history was made as the first-ever professional wrestling show featuring both WWE and AAA wrestlers took place. It was the Worlds Collide special event. One of the most talked about stars during the show was AAA Lucha Libre’s Mr. Iguana.
Mr. Iguana teamed up with Octagon Jr. and Aero Star to take on Lince Dorado and Latino World Order’s Cruz Del Toro and Dragon Lee. After wrestling each other for almost 15 minutes, the AAA Mixed Gender Tag Team Champions’ team picked up the win.
The AAA star recently addressed the fans via WWE Español’s Twitter channel. Mr. Iguana shared that competing on a WWE show was a dream.
“Well, what can I say? A dream come true for the kid who wanted to be a luchador and became one, and from up here, there’s nothing beyond, this is the top. There’s a mantra I have, from a Japanese story and I always say that I am a wave, I’m a wave, I’m water. I’m water, I flow, I flow. I hope people are ready to learn more about Mr. Iguana. I think people in Mexico already know me, I think many of you already know me, and now for real, now you’re going to see who’s really calling the shots,” Mr. Iguana said.
Iguana and his teammates had been featured on NXT television for the past two weeks.
