What is WWE planning as the main event for next month’s Money in the Bank premium live event?
Beyond the standard ladder matches for the men and women, not a lot of details have come out thus far on what we should expect at Money in the Bank next month. This is likely partly due to Saturday Night’s Main Event happening later this month. However, a new report shines some light on WWE’s plan for a polarizing main event.
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, the fan favorite idea of CM Punk and John Cena for the Undisputed WWE Championship isn’t planned for Money in the Bank. The company has plans to run this match “when the timing is right” later this year.
Instead, Johnson reports that WWE is planning on putting John Cena and rapper Travis Scott in either a tag team or a six-man tag team match. While their opponents are unknown at this time, Johnson believes Cody Rhodes will be one of their opponents.
Stay tuned to WrestleZone for more information on the WWE Money in the Bank card as it becomes available.
